WALL Street’s main indexes opened flat to lower on Monday (Dec 9), after the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq notched record closing highs in the previous session on upbeat corporate forecasts, while investors awaited a key inflation report this week.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 4.5 points, or 0.01 per cent, at the open to 44,637.97.
The S&P 500 fell 7.3 points, or 0.12 per cent, at the open to 6,083.01, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 35.7 points, or 0.18 per cent, to 19,824.09 at the opening bell. REUTERS
