The first outage happened on Jul 21 after maintenance was conducted as part of network upgrading works
MYREPUBLIC fibre broadband customers appeared to suffer from an outage on Tuesday (Sep 10) night.
According to outage tracking website Downdetector, there were more than 10,000 reports relating to Internet problems faced by MyRepublic customers as at 11 pm.
On the company’s Facebook page, customers across locations such as Bukit Batok, Woodlands and Marine Parade commented that they faced issues accessing the Internet.
This is the second time in two months that MyRepublic’s fibre broadband network has faced an outage.
On Jul 21, the company’s customers also faced a network outage after maintenance was conducted as part of network upgrading works. MyRepublic consumer vice-president Terry Williams said that the outage was caused by an upstream equipment provider.
The Business Times has reached out to the company for comment.
